Her Body of A.R.T.
Jun

Her Body of A.R.T.

Her Body of A.R.T. is a reclamation, adoration and celebration of the fully fleshed expression of the female body. There has never been a more important time in history for women of all ages, shapes, sizes and lived experiences to come together in an emotionally mature, matriarchal space of an all female gaze to reclaim ownership of our bodies and stories in tenderness, power and pleasure. This day is not a female empowerment event or a fluffy feminine space. It is a ceremonial remembrance and reverence of the female form as the most knowing, precious, ferocious thing in existence. Women's bodies are divine, creative, raw and radiant forces of nature. On the summer solstice we will gather under the highest light to cherish, own and make art from the parts of our bodies and stories we have been conditioned to hide. May we let them come alive to be seen and celebrated in full sight.

Her Body of A.R.T. is a somatic, self expression and spiritual practice of A.R.T. that means Alive Radiant Truth. A.R.T. is an expansive creative path to embody your biggest aliveness and radiate the truth of all of who you really are.

In feminine energetics, mystery is part of the experience, your mind cannot grasp what will unfold or how powerful a space like this is unless you fully open and go through it with your body. These bullet points give but a small flavour of the enormity and exquisiteness of the experience that will unfold in the room on the day.

The day will be led by Francesca Filippa, creator of Her Body of A.R.T. and leader of The Women of A.R.T. Collective alongside other powerhouses Gabi Ribeiro, Charlotte Franssen,  Eve Rose and Nancy Zein.

Five hour magical event £66 (early bird discount HERART6 ~ available until 1 June).

Some of what to expect on the day:

  • A welcome into a powerfully held non-hierarchical circle of women of all ages, shapes, sizes and lived experiences gathering to journey through the full expression of our bodies, voices and stories in an all female space.

  • An anchoring and activating embodiment journey to root and open us to receive and express the depth, wisdom, power, aliveness and radiance of the female body. Accompanied by shamanic instruments and contemporary music rooted in the practices of feminine energetics, qi gong, somatics, guided and intuitive movement, dance, voice, breath work and rest.

  • A somatic, reflective journaling of our bodies' stories.

  • An exquisitely held group sharing of our bodies’ stories in an emotionally mature space of deep listening and loving witnessing.

  • A ceremonial ritual of cacao as an offering to Venus, the goddess of art, to honor and invoke the divine feminine creative heart and open the sensual body to receiving pleasure.

  • A body devotion practice of self touch and massage to hold and adore your body’s flesh in its wholeness and further awaken the sensual body.

  • Life drawing to become a work of art, to be Venus yourself or to revere Venus in another woman’s fully fleshed expression as an act of the highest form of self love and love between women.

  • A short 15 min break for tea and light snacks.

  • An embodied creative writing practice to reclaim and rewrite the story of your body.

  • An open mic celebration of poetry, song, and musings that want to move through you unapologetically as you make art from your body and step into more of you who truly are.

  • A closing ceremony to honor all that unfolded in reverence and love.

What to wear

  • Something you feel stunning in that makes you feel like the goddess Venus herself, something that you can move and dance in, a dress or two piece, no tight yoga gear or black/dark clothes. Colours and tones that give you life!

What to bring

  • A notepad/ journal and pen and non plastic refillable bottle for water.

  • A shawl and socks for warmth as the floor is concrete, blankets and bolsters provided.

  • All life drawing materials will be provided.

Disclaimer, Boundaries, & Consent Agreement

This is a space for full feminine expression, not repression, the truth sets us all free. With that being said, there is an exquisite and clear way to responsibly hold a relatively safe collective space for women’s full truth. Safety can never be fully guaranteed, one woman’s truth can be another woman’s trigger and that can never be controlled in a space sharing shared and diverse lived experiences.

These boundaries and agreements are in place so every woman in the space understands what is expected of her in an emotionally mature space so she can create A LEVEL of safety for herself and the other women.  Safety is a personal responsibility as much as it is a collective one.

Here is what we will explore on the day and a code of conduct of what is expected of you as practitioners and we ourselves agree to as facilitators. This will be repeated at the beginning of the day.

  • The embodiment journey will begin with a resourcing practice to root into feelings of safety and pleasure then follow the arc of feminine soul descent going in and down into non-verbal feeling states, sensations and emotions of the whole female body and feminine anatomy of the pelvic bowl, then up and out through the heart, and voice through very precise somatic, embodiment, emotional, expression practices to evoke raw power and radiance. At all times there will be invitations for you to listen to your body and what is right for you, nothing is expected or will be demanded from you ever. You will be invited to go at your own pace and can take breaks or say no at any time. This includes the storytelling part.

  • The life drawing space is a space to adore the half clothed or fully unclothed female form and be adored in your fully fleshed expression. There will be opportunities to be topless whilst you draw with no pressure or expectation to do so. If nobody in the space wants to model, one of the facilitators will do this.

  • The storytelling space is a strictly confidential space to share raw truth and emotion from your own experience. Shame dies when stories are told with loving witnesses. To be explicitly clear, the storytelling space is not a space to process trauma, offer unwanted sympathy or advice, ask to be fixed or to fix another woman. The storytelling space is a space to deeply listen and witness another woman in her vulnerability, raw power and radiant courage. If you do want to reflect, resonate or relate to a woman’s story, ask for her consent first and be prepared for her to say no. If you want further integration please ask Francesca and she can facilitate a 1:1 for you after the event.

  • There will be a female photographer subtly taking pictures at certain points of the day for promotional purposes for future events across our websites and social media channels. Please express to Francesca AND the photographer at the beginning of the day if you do not want to be in them when they ask the group. This will also be asked again at the life drawing section which will be very sensitively and respectfully photographed

Reiki infused Yin, Yoga Nidra and Sound

A Mindful Friday experience at OCA

Take a long exhale… this evening is designed for exactly that.

This 2-hour immersive workshop blends deeply restorative Yin Yoga, gentle Reiki energy healing, Yoga Nidra Meditation, and the soothing resonance of alchemy singing bowls to guide you into a state of profound rest and inner recalibration.

Mindful Friday at OCA is all about pressing pause on the busy rhythm of life, and this session offers a beautifully spacious container to do just that.

What to expect

We begin with a slow Reiki-infused Yin Yoga practice, where poses are held for longer periods to gently open the body, release tension stored in the connective tissues, and invite stillness. Throughout the practice, Reiki energy is offered to support energetic balance and deepen relaxation.

From there, you’ll be guided into Yoga Nidra, often called “yogic sleep.” This effortless meditation invites the body into deep rest while the mind remains softly aware , a place where the nervous system resets, brainwaves change and the mind can truly unwind.

As you rest, the space will be filled with the subtle, shimmering tones of alchemy crystal singing bowls. Their vibrations create a soundscape that encourages the body and mind to soften even further, rounding up the whole experience.

This workshop is perfect if you…

  • Feel mentally busy or energetically depleted

  • Want a nervous system reset at the end of the week

  • Love slow, nourishing yoga practices

  • Are curious about energy healing and sound

  • Simply need two hours where nothing is expected of you

No previous experience with Yin, Reiki, or Yoga Nidra is needed,  just come as you are.

Leave feeling…

✨ deeply relaxed
✨ energetically balanced
✨ mentally spacious
✨ reconnected to yourself

Consider it a little sanctuary at the end of your week , where movement, rest, energy, and sound weave together to help you soften, settle, and refill your cup.

Duration: 2 hours
Level: Open to all

What to bring…

Comfortable clothing and anything that helps you feel cosy (OCA will provide mats and props)

Persephone's Feast: Poetry, performance and pomegranates

Persephone's Feast: Poetry, performance and pomegranates

Take a seat at Persephone’s table and feast on the nourishment of food, poetry, story, and shared creativity as we honour the turning of the seasons.

As part of celebrating International Women’s Day, The Women’s Fire invites you into a joyful evening of communal feasting and mythic remembrance. Inspired by the story of Persephone, through our creativity we honour the myths, stories and archetypes that have carried the power of descent and return.

Why Persephone?

Persephone is the playful maiden above ground and dark sensual queen below. Throughout winter we have been in Persephone’s underworld domain, crawling through the dark, curling up in caves, resting in the quiet of winter. Like Persephone herself, we have been shaped by what we’ve encountered there: grief and growth, endings and insight, hidden strength waiting to be claimed.

Yet the first signs of spring begin to stir, the light innocence of the maiden. So we gather to harvest the gold and glimmers from our time below and to prepare the ground for what is ready to rise. This is a space to witness each other's creative expression, to learn from our experiences of descent, darkness or time in the underworld whilst celebrating the emergence of spring.

What to expect

Feast: Persephone’s Feast is a co-created potluck supper. Each person brings a dish to share. Something nourishing, seasonal, comforting, or symbolic. Together we will create a shared table, rich with food and meaning.

Storytelling: To welcome us more deeply into embodying our own experiences of descent and return, there will be a re-telling of Persephone's myth to permeate our bodies, hearts and souls with the gifts of the underworld.

Co-Create Cabaret: You bring the entertainment! Alongside the meal, the evening will unfold as an immersive cabaret-style sharing with poetry, music, movement, ritual  and a few surprises. These offerings don’t need to be polished or perfect. They are about witnessing one another, listening deeply, and offering our creativity on the altar of our mythic muses.

Dress Invitation: You are warmly invited to come dressed in a mythic expression, honouring Persephone, the underworld, feminine archetypes or myths that represent the threshold between darkness and light, or perhaps your own descent and return.

The Practicals:

  • Arrive at 4pm sharp!

  • Bring something to contribute to the potluck.

  • Dress as your own mythic expression

  • Get in touch (info below) about sharing something in the co-created cabaret

  • This event is open to women's fire members and their friends

If you have something you’d definitely like to include in the cabaret, email alana@truenature.org.uk with a little description and any tech details/needs. There will be a spaces reserved on the night for impromptu offerings, but messaging ahead in advance with your expression of interest for sharing something will helps us plan accordingly and curate a journey of creative expression.

This is a feast for the senses, the soul, and the season, a remembering that spring does not arrive without winter, and that our descent has meaning. Come as you are. Bring a dish. Bring a story. Bring what winter has shaped in you. Spring is waiting.
