Mindful Yoga Practice: Embrace the Basics with Curiosity

Light is once again beginning to return to our days, and with the new calendar year I’m looking forward to as yet unfulfilled potential and opportunities that will arise.

My intention this year is to let go of my attachment to result such as the elusive handstand, and simply take joy and curiosity in the everyday building blocks that make up the journey. For me, January will be less about quick fixes, and as I explore yoga practice themes this year I’m beginning with a revisit to what we might consider our foundational yoga poses. Everytime my mind dances with a familiar shape there is something different to observe or refine, and for me there is happiness in that action.

If you’d like to find joy in your downward dog, join me for Hatha practice on Sundays.

Love,

Yee
