How to Use Daily Affirmations to Set the Tone for the New Year
As the new year begins, it’s a beautiful time to gently set the tone for how you want to live and feel. This January I will invite you to practice mental affirmations and repeat each of them three times, silently, in the present tense— as if they have already begun.
If you’ve been going to bed late, you might affirm: I am an early riser.
If your body is asking for better nourishment: I eat healthy, nourishing foods.
If you wish to return to your meditation practice: I am a meditator.
Bring these affirmations into your awareness every day.
Let them move beyond words and be felt in your body, through your breath, your posture, your energy.
It may sound like “fake it until you make it,” yet the more you embody these statements, the more they start to feel natural, and eventually, true.
Affirmations work best when paired with loving action. Take small, intentional steps each day that align with what you are affirming. Stay patient, disciplined and consistent.
Over time, these gentle choices weave together, and the life you’ve been affirming begins to unfold naturally.
With love and respect.
