Yoga in the Heat: Embracing Stillness, Breath & Softness
This heat has been humbling. The rising temperatures have forced me to slow down, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. I’ve been reminded that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is pause.
Lately, I’ve found inspiration in the quiet parts of practice - longer holds, gentle movement, intentional breath. It’s not about pushing through the heat but about softening into it, listening to what the body really needs.
There’s something beautiful about matching the rhythm of nature. Nature slows down in this heat and I’m enjoying doing the same. So if you’re feeling the same pull to dial it back, let it happen. Sometimes, the most nourishing thing we can do is simply show up, breathe and be still.
Hope to see you on the mat soon, just maybe closer to the fan!
Thanks!
