Shedding the Old: Winter Reflections on Growth and Change
Over the past month, I’ve noticed a beautiful shift — in myself and in those around me. It feels like we’re all shedding old skin: releasing habits, stories, and ways of being that no longer fit. Some are stepping into new careers, others into deeper versions of themselves. There’s something quietly powerful about watching this collective transformation unfold.
As we move closer to winter, the energy feels slower, softer — an invitation to turn inward. The new skin we’ve grown is still tender, still finding its strength. This feels like a time to rest, integrate, and honour how far we’ve come before stepping into what’s next.
Transformation doesn’t end when change happens; it continues in the stillness that follows. So I’m reminding myself to breathe, to trust this pause, and to let the lessons of the past season settle in — knowing that when the light returns, I’ll be ready to emerge in my full power.
With gratitude,
Nancy
