Caminho do Invisível – Ritual of the Orixás

Awakening the Elements through Dance, Ritual & the Feminine Orixás (Yabás)
June 28–29 | 12:00 – 18:00 each day | Oca London

A sacred two-day immersion into the spiritual and therapeutic wisdom of the Yabás – the feminine Orixás of the Afro-Brazilian and Yoruba pantheon: Oxum, Yemanjá, Iansã, and Nanã.

Through dance, rhythm, storytelling (Itans), and ancestral practices, we reconnect with the elemental forces of water, earth, air, and spirit – invoking deep remembrance of our feminine power and the medicine of the body in motion.

🌀 What to Expect:

Each day opens with a sacred circle, intention setting, smudging with herbs, and prayers to Ori (our inner divinity and consciousness), seeking permission to walk this invisible path.
We then move into a water meditation, and ritual offerings to Exu – the guardian of the crossroads – inviting clarity and presence.

You will be guided through:

  • Embodiment practices with Jurema and Hapé (sacred tobacco)

  • Free-flow movement, drumming, and sacred chants

  • Ritual dance inspired by Oxum & Yemanjá, Goddesses of fresh and salt waters

  • Afro-Brazilian warm-ups and elemental expressions

  • Deep listening to myth and movement as medicine

This is more than a workshop. It is a journey of remembrance, an offering of healing, and a collective prayer for reweaving the feminine within ourselves and our communities.

“We think mental health is individual – but it’s not. Healing is collective. To restore balance, we must remember that the other is also you.”

Orisha is medicine.
Dance is medicine.
The body is the path.

We call on the invisible forces, the ones that move through us when words fall short.
We remember that a woman is transformation — ever-changing, life-giving, blood-bearing, mystery-holding. To be a woman is to be medicine.
