Dance Ritual of the Orixás : Caminho do Invisível i(the invisible path) a 4 -day Afro-Brazilian immersion guided by Savana Maia from Brazil.
Through ritual dance, storytelling, music, and embodiment practices, we journey into the sacred forces of nature embodied by the feminine Orixás – Oxum, Yemanjá, Iansã, and Nanã. Each day we dive into the mythology, movement, and energy of a different Orixá to tap into a unique expression of feminine power and the elements they govern – from the waters of Yemanjá to the winds of Iansã and the depths of Nanã. This is a ceremonial experience woven with smudging, rapé circle, chants, and symbolic movement, honoring the guardians Ori, Exu, and the spirit of the forest, Jurema.
Participants are invited to bring offerings for the altar, wear white with the colour of the Orixá of the day, and open their hearts to dance the unseen into form.
Expect depth, magic, and a remembering of the body as temple and portal.
